Everyone wants success…and success is something you define for yourself.
Maybe it’s your business that you want to improve. Or your health. Or your relationship. Perhaps it’s your finances. Whatever it is, you know that there are programs out there that promise “Quick Results”! or “Seven Steps to Your Perfect ___fill in the blank___!”. And you might actually be on the brink of signing up for yet another one of these. I get it. You want change….and you want it NOW!
I’m going to ask you to consider the very good possibility that what you need to change goes much deeper than what those kinds of programs offer, and requires a very different process. Superficial improvement attempts, no matter how brilliant and innovative they seem, are not going to do the trick. It might even seem like things change for a while. and then you realize that you’re back where you started. I don’t say this to discourage you, but to point out something essential about what it takes for real change to happen…and to stick.
As a shamanic healer and change-agent, I can tell you that nothing replaces the essential work of diving deep into the heart of your buried, stuck emotions, feelings, beliefs, and the energy that’s really holding you back in that area of your personal dissatisfaction. There are even some spiritual teachings that will subtly encourage you to ‘bypass’ this work and place your hope in easier, softer methods of change. The thing is, the person we were in the past, the one who suffered and didn’t know what else to do with her feelings but hide them, deserves your attention and your acknowledgement. And this is exactly where the healing journey begins.
When I look at the dedication and the devotion that my clients bring to the transformational, healing work we do together, I am in awe. They’re committed to face today what was too painful to face in the past. With guidance and support, and the amazing courage they bring to the process, they’re able to acknowledge, honor, express and ultimately release the pain…and in doing so, they free themselves to make real changes.
A client I worked with just yesterday, stated very clearly that now that she has cleared the pain from the past and understood the ‘why’ of it, she knew that she wanted to work on improving her ability to thrive, and to invite more true joy and happiness. Now she has a strong foundation for it! Because of what she has healed and accepted about herself, she is aligned energetically with that thriving, and there is nothing in the way any longer.
Intuitively she knows what the new science of epigenetics teaches us: That we must clear what blocks our heart energy in order to be able to flow the necessary positive energetic nourishment to our DNA to change its coding to that of THRIVING!
Here’s a quote from an article on the subject: “Epigenetics is proving we have some responsibility for the integrity of our genome,” … “Before, genes predetermined outcomes. Now everything we do—everything we eat or smoke (…or feel…) —can affect our gene expression and that of future generations. Epigenetics introduces the concept of free will into our idea of genetics.”
The empowerment this describes is staggeringly exciting and hopeful. What it tells us is truly based on good common sense. And here’s an analogy a lot of you can relate to right now: If you want to take the car out of the garage and drive somewhere, you have to shovel away the snow first!! Clear the path and keep it clear, and THEN you have an open conduit for positive energy IN and OUT. Powerful stuff!!
This is what real healing is about. Nothing less will do. So if you’re interested in real healing, we should talk.
