I’d like to share something personal with you as I continue on my own path of choosing peace, choosing love, and offering myself sacred self-care. There’s a tool I’ve used for decades that helps me feel certain about what move to make, which direction to go in, and how to make clear, confident decisions.
Because let’s be honest—my creative mind can come up with all kinds of possibilities. And quite frankly, I’m also prone to “shoulds”… if you know what I mean. And yes, I think you do know. 🙄
So this tool helps me narrow things down and land on the choice that’s absolutely right for me. And hey, maybe you already use it! If so, wonderful—then my job is simply to encourage you to use it ALL. THE. TIME. 😊
So what am I talking about?
I’m talking about a pendulum.
Using a pendulum—once you know how, have practiced, and trust the answers you receive—can help you make confident decisions. And as we say, with this decision, “you can take it to the bank.”
Let me share how I use mine:
Hold the pendulum out in front of you. Let it hang still. Then establish your responses: a “yes” is when the pendulum swings left to right, and a “no” is when it swings forward and back (away from and toward you). Now, begin asking a few simple questions you already know the answers to:
– “Is my name _______?”
– “Is my age _______?”
– “Do I live in _______?”
Keep going with easy ones to build your confidence and begin trusting your pendulum’s responses.
Now let’s circle back to last week’s email, when I encouraged you to bring more positive, nurturing activities into your life. You can use the pendulum to ask about those:
– Is this creative activity supportive for me right now?
– Is this food in alignment with my health?
– Is this the right time to rest or to move?
The point is—whatever’s on your mind, no matter how small it may seem—if you feel even a hint of uncertainty, you can let the pendulum ease your mind and help you land in trust.
We get to love, cherish, and be proud of our sensitive, empathic, intuitive nature. And any tool or practice that grounds us in that nature—and helps us celebrate it—is precious.

For me, the certainty I’ve developed through using a pendulum is something I cherish. I’ve built deep trust in the guidance it offers. It ends the questioning, the wondering, the doubting… and yes, even the vacillating.
As I write this, I realize how deeply this connects to my work around women’s empowerment. It helps put an end to second-guessing, to needing someone else’s approval, to feeling unsure. It brings us back to our own knowing.
So you see—when you begin to view the pendulum as an extension of your spiritual self, you may come to cherish it just as I do.
