ALCHEMICAL TRANSFORMATION
Let’s be clear. When we are in pain with old toxic relationship patterns and we are looking to change them, somewhere in our hearts and souls we know that for true transformation, we are going to have to dig deep and face ourselves.
I recently described a moment when a client laughed at the predictability of once again having been susceptible to the toxic manipulations that had become so familiar.
The shift, the alchemy happened when laughter accompanied that recognition. Like, of course, how could it NOT go down this way AGAIN!
That, and digging into your past to see where the thoughts, beliefs and patterns started and knowing that it is now YOUR responsibility to be the agent of change. To know that it is time to release thoughts long-held as truth, and choose a thought that feels a fuck of a lot better than the old abusive one that diminishes your worth.
Alchemical transformation of old meant literally “turning lead into gold”. Now it means turning helplessness and pain into empowerment and joy!
