I am frequently asked about how to keep the chakras/energy centers of cleared and balanced for emotional, physical and spiritual well-being and comfort. I have been sharing this process with my clients for years and it works beautifully!
Chakra Clearing And Balancing Process
These are the seven major chakras, or energy centers you will work with, and their corresponding colors. You may find it helpful to know that the word “chakra” means “wheel” in Sanskrit. When the chakras are clear, these “wheels” spin freely, allowing the energy to flow powerfully and without obstruction.
Root–base of spine/perineum–red
Sacral–2 inches below navel–orange
Solar plexus–just below notch of breast bone–yellow
Heart–center of chest–green
Throat–base of throat–blue
Third eye–between eyebrows–indigo
Crown–crown of head–violet
Imagine a “wheel” or the face of a clock facing OUT from your body at the energy centers (chakras).
Clear the chakra energy by rotating your hand counterclockwise, palm facing toward the body held 3-5 inches away from body, imagining that your hand is a magnet attracting all debris or blockages from chakra. Do this until you yawn or sigh. (Don’t worry if you don’t yawn or sigh the first few times you do this, eventually, you will.)
Clear the energy accumulated on your hand by shaking or wiping off your hand.
Proceed to balance the chakra by rotating your hand clockwise, over the chakra as above, imagining the color of that chakra within the chakra, and the chakra “wheel” spinning freely, energy flowing strongly. Again, do this until you yawn or sigh.
You may do this beginning with the root chakra and working your way up the chakras, or you may simply clear and balance the chakra where you feel some discomfort.
You may also visualize doing this process when it is not possible or appropriate to physically use your hand to balance and clear the energies. It is equally effective as a visualized process. I have successfully done it in many settings, including on a long walk. Just be sure to continue with the hand rotation until you yawn or sigh.
If you are aware that a particular chakra needs attention ongoingly, it can be helpful to wear, or place in your environment, something of the color corresponding to that chakra.
