I had a coaching session in my office the other day with a client who has been struggling to figure out what she’s supposed to be offering in the world on her Soul path as a healer. And she’d been suffering from a real lack of confidence that she was supposed to do anything at all in this regard…after all, who would come to her for help? And for what, exactly?
Now this is a highly intuitive, evolved, gifted, compassionate woman who has TONS to offer others on their path of awakening and living better lives. Basically that’s what all healers offer their clients and students, right?
Her ego was jumping right into the mix with all kinds of disparaging and discouraging comments and she was backing off from the task of discerning her work, her passion, her next authentic steps.
She was what I call “a healer-in-waiting”. Waiting for clarity, waiting for courage, waiting for confidence, waiting for safety, waiting for permission…the list goes on of reasons why to wait. Ego and its fears are tireless.
Perhaps you can relate. If so, let me assure you that there is a way out of waiting and into being.
When I see this waiting game in gifted, amazing women, and feel their deep frustration and even grief at not being on Purpose, it taps into my passion to help them uncover the confusion, the fear, the ego defenses and move into their power, their authentic Soul Work in the world.
So I did what I always do in these situations…I led her to look at what was right under her nose. She was totally ignoring the deepest challenge she had carried, dealt with and evolved through since childhood…a physical disability. As soon as she put her attention on what that experience was for her in its totality, she got INSTANTLY clear on her work. Helping parents of children with physical disabilities to empower these children to their highest potential.
I wish you had been there with us, fly-on-the-wall style, to witness the visible energetic shift she made when she allowed this into her awareness. Ideas flowed freely, possibilities unfurled, hope bloomed…she KNEW!! She smiled. She breathed.
What you are meant to do to help others is always right under your nose, but as the saying goes, sometimes you can’t see the forest for the trees. And waiting doesn’t help at all.
Don’t stay stuck in confusion about your Soul Work. Look under your nose and if you still can’t find it, or still find yourself waiting to carry it out into the world, get some expert support from me, or from someone else you trust. You are so worth it.
The world desperately needs you and your work. The ones you will help are ALREADY waiting for you!
Love you, bless you,
Jan
