If you’re feeling kind of betwixt and between, or even a little let down today… after the holiday, understand that it’s quite natural. All the hustle and bustle, celebrating, socializing, etc. of the holidays spikes your “feel good” endorphins….
And then, of course there’s a let down, a kind of crash…. it’s biochemical.
Do some things that will gently raise your endorphin levels like taking a short walk, listening to quiet music, taking a bubble bath, reading a good book, etc….you get the picture….and soon your brain chemistry will be balanced again in no time… and you’ll feel better… On a more even keel.
One of the things I find myself doing is purging messy, cluttered drawers, and re-organizing them….gives me a good feeling that allows for endorphin production without the spike that causes the crash. Get creative about this!
This spike/crash pattern is especially true for sensitive, empathic people. And a little awareness and TLC can go a long way!
